Revised proposals have been submitted for a new hotel on the historic street of Micklegate in the centre of York.
O’Neill Associated are working on behalf of York-based developers North Star to progress proposals for the new 65-bed aparthotel, which will replace existing buildings of low architectural and historic merit.
Redevelopment of the site offers a key opportunity to enhance this part of the historic centre and provide a vibrant new purpose for the site that will improve the streetscape and views from the City Walls, promote generation of activity in Micklegate and improve the offer of high quality visitor accommodation in the centre.
