Accommodation for cyclists in the Green Belt

O’Neill Associates worked to progress proposals for the York Cycle Stop, a facility offering short-stay accommodation tailored to the needs of touring cyclists at a site located in the Green Belt. The Company assisted the applicants in compiling a business plan and obtaining support from cycling groups including the Grand Départ cycling legacy programme.

We presented the case to Council on the Very Special Circumstances for the development and the planning application for 12 camping pods with amenity block and reception and manager’s living quarters was granted approval at Planning Committee against the Officer’s recommendation for refusal.
